What is Integrative Health?

Integrative Health is the integration of conventional and complementary alternative health care options which address the body, mind and spirit, as well as the environment and relationships with others. It focuses on wellness, health promotion, and the healing process. Many disciplines within Integrative Health have been part of human healing since civilization began!

The Integrative Health Steering Committee of Windham Hospital is an active group of practitioners, staff and community volunteers whose mission is to enhance the lives and well-being of our community through an integration of mind, body and spirit.

Windham Hospital's Integrative Health offerings include

  • Acupuncture
  • Meditation
  • Nutritional Counseling
  • Pet Visitation
  • Reiki
  • Therapeutic Massage
  • Yoga

Integrative Health practitioners, allied with Windham Hospital, treat patients in the hospital and at their offices located within the region.

In addition to individualized treatments and classes, Windham Hospital holds a monthly education series, For the Health of It, to provide information and open dialogue about various integrative health topics.

Programs are held on the last Wednesday of each month in the hospital's education center, unless otherwise noted, from 7 to 9 pm and are open to the public. These educational programs are designed to meet a broad range of individual needs, whether you are just learning about a particular facet of integrative health or are seeking to further your knowledge.
