The Radiology Department at Windham Hospital is a full service department offering:
Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, CAT Scan, MRI and Mammography.
Our mammography facilities are accredited by the ACR (American College of Radiology)
and certified by the FDA. The radiologists at Windham Hospital are all board certified
and meet the ACR's requirements for continuing education in the field
of radiology. Our technical staff have all graduated from an approved program of
Radiologic Technology or specialty program and are registered in their specific field
as well as licensed by the State of Connecticut if applicable.
Jefferson Radiology is currently providing
professional interpretations of diagnostic
imaging studies performed at Windham Hospital
including general x-rays, CT scans, MRI's,
ultrasounds, nuclear studies, and mammography.
Jefferson Radiology's diagnostic and interventional
specialists are experts in their field.
Doctors with training in musculoskeletal
diseases, neuroradiology, breast imaging,
gastrointestinal radiology, pediatric radiology,
thoracic radiology, and interventional
radiology are now available to Windham
Hospital patients and their physicians
on a daily basis.
Jefferson physicians provide services
both on-site at the hospital and from their
patient care offices via advances in computer
technology. Through Windham Hospital's
newly installed Picture Archiving and Communication
System (PACS), images obtained at the hospital
can be sent to Jefferson Radiology through
special, high speed network connections.
With virtually no time lost, hospital patients
are connected with Jefferson's experts
who will examine and interpret their imaging
studies. This critical diagnostic information
is then reported back to the patient's
physician at Windham Hospital via the PACS.
Jefferson Radiology is the largest private
practice group in Connecticut, with specialty
expertise in all areas of diagnostic and
interventional radiology. The group also
provides radiology services for Hartford
Hospital, Connecticut Children's Medical
Center and Johnson Memorial Hospital.
