ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT


The 17th Annual Golf Classic will again be at The University Club in North Windham, Connecticut. The owners include former UConn basketball player and ESPN sports commentator, Donny Marshall along with partners Chuck and Joe Grodovich. Their combined talents bring a level of expertise to the tournament.

Proceeds from this event will continue to support Windham Hospital’s Outpatient Center, which provides thousands of families with outstanding diagnostic services. The new Jeffrey P. Ossen Emergency Center is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and provides exceptional emergency services to our community.

Efforts by the Golf Classic Committee over the years have provided many improvements to our facility that would otherwise have not been possible. The Committee has made a $1 million pledge to the Emergency & Outpatient Expansion Project that opened in August 2006 and has raised over $861,000.00 toward that goal.

We hope you will want to join in the success of this event as we support a local course with an experienced management team, great chef, and the kind of service you would expect at some of the most prestigious clubs in the country.
