Anne L. Card Memorial Scholarship Aids Future Healthcare Professionals
The Auxiliary to Windham Hospital awards two $1,000 scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in the healthcare field. This scholarship is named in honor of the late Anne L. Card who was a 50+ year member of the Auxiliary and dedicated volunteer at the Hospital.
To be eligible for these scholarships, the student must reside in one of the following towns served by the Hospital: Andover, Ashford, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Chaplin, Colchester, Columbia, Coventry, Eastford, Franklin, Hampton, Hebron, Lebanon, Mansfield, Scotland, Sprague, Tolland, Willington, or Windham/Willimantic.
The applicants must provide a scholarship packet which includes the following:
A completed application (signed by the student and a parent/guardian)
An essay (details are on the application)
2 letters of recommendation (1 must be from an educator at the high school)
A copy of their most recent high school transcript

The Auxiliary to Windham Hospital was established soon after the hospital opened in 1933. The purpose of the Auxiliary is to promote the interests and welfare of Windham Hospital within the community through educational programs, fundraising events, and social activities. |
