Position Title:
Echocardiographer
Department:
Cardiology Services
Position Description:
Graduate of a one year Allied Health training program in Echocardiography, accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education. One year of formal training in Echocardiography or 3-5 years experience in performing ECHOs. Must maintain registration (RDCS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or provide proof of eligibility. Performs technical procedures associated with the application of cardiac ultrasound for the diagnosis of disease or injury. Provides patient services using imaging modalities in an efficient professional manner and with sensitivity to patient needs. Accurately documents. Files and maintains patient records. May also perform various other duties pertaining to the Department of Cardiology.
