Windham Hospital Center for Women’s Health in HebronEarns Mammography Accreditation
The Windham Hospital Center for Women’s Health in Hebron has earned a 3-year accreditation for its mammography services from the American College of Radiology.
The Center for Women’s Health, located at 21A Liberty Drive in Hebron just nine miles from Windham Hospital, opened in April and provides OB/GYN, imaging and lab services. The Center houses four exam rooms, bone density, digital mammography, and Clinical Lab Partners (CLP) lab services. Thanks to a partnership between the hospital and Mansfield OB/GYN to provide enhanced services, Yvette Martas, MD; Rob Gildersleeve, MD; and Kathleen Zacherl, MD, see patients four days a week at the facility.
The American College of Radiology’s (ACR) Mammography Accreditation Program provides facilities with peer review and constructive feedback on staff qualifications, equipment, quality control, quality assurance, image quality, and radiation dose. Those facilities successfully meeting all of the criteria are awarded 3-year accreditation certificates.
