 FREE INTEGRATIVE HEALTH LECTURE RESCHEDULED
New Date Set for Feb. 9th; Topic is “Holistic Sound Meditation”
Linda and Peter Jacques, practitioners of sound healing and gong bath therapy, will present an interactive program at Windham Hospital on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, in the Hospital’s education center. The event was re-scheduled due to inclement weather in January.
Linda and Peter invite participants to “come experience sound healing as it rebalances the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies,” and to bring floor mats, blankets or pillows to the interactive event. They believe that the sound of gongs is excellent therapy for stress related issues, depression, fatigue, anger and hostility, feeling of separation and loneliness, and all kinds of fears, along with many other conditions related to lack of balance and harmony in the body.
Linda and Peter Jacques studied the principles of holistic sound healing with gong master Don Conreaux, and also studied with Mitch Nur, lecturer and teacher of sacred sound instruments. Linda and Peter offer monthly Gong Baths in a group called ARC Sounds in East Hampton, CT and offer private sessions upon request. Linda is a holistic practitioner offering hypnosis, energy healing, EFT, Bio Cleanse Detox Footbaths, and Solutions Coaching Support. Peter is an active member of The Mankind Project of New England.
The February 9th event is the first in the 2011 “For the Health of It” lecture series sponsored by the Integrative Health Services Department at Windham Hospital. Next programs in the nine-part series are “Lyme Disease,” FEB 23, presented by Thomas Moorcroft, DO; “Re-Connecting to the Web of Life: Indigenous Perspectives and Practices for Well-Being” presented by Marian Vitali, DC, on March 23; “Your Health and Intuition: The Essential Connection,” presented by Kimble Greene, PhD, on April 27, and “Skin Cancer Awareness” on May 25, presented by the World Skin Project Group.
