In this presentation, Michele will discuss the herbs and foods that will help us stay healthy in the winter months, and will demonstrate the use of ginger, astragulus, garlic, apples, sweet potatoes, and other root vegetables in soups, teas, applesauce and many other foods. She will also be handing out some fact sheets and recipes during the presentation.
Michele Maclure says her interest in herbs began many years ago when “a friend gave me a few herb plants to start a culinary herb garden. Since then, I have been avidly adding more herb gardens and taking courses related to herbs. In 1997, I completed a ten-month intensive course with Janice Dinsdale and the late Martha Paul. I have taught at various venues, including South River Herbals, Coventry Farmers Market, HerbFest and at the Aromatherapy Conference in Massachusetts. My passion is cooking with herbs and infusing their abundant qualities in food for a healthy lifestyle.”
NOTE: This event was postponed by inclement weather. It was originally scheduled for January 28th.
