Free Integrative Health Lecture Series Continues at Windham Hospital

WILLIMANTIC, CT – February 20, 2008 – The Integrative Health Steering Committee at Windham Hospital hosts “For the Health of It,” a Wednesday evening lecture series, each month. The February event, presented by Patricia Leheny, Doctor of Chiropractic, is “How Chiropractic Can Help You.” It will take place on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, from 7 – 9 pm in the Hospital’s Bernard & Desrosier Rooms.

Better known to her patients as Dr. Trish, Patricia Leheny will talk about the benefits of chiropractic treatment. She will explain the activator technique and how chiropractic treatment can aid in relieving headache, spinal, and back pain; decrease muscle stiffness, increase range of motion, and improve healing, thus resulting in more energy and less fatigue.
She has been in practice in Colchester since 1988, and holds a Doctor of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College, and an Associate of Science Degree from Rivier College. Dr. Leheny is proficient in the high-velocity, low-force activator technique of chiropractic manipulation and instructs other chiropractors throughout the country in the technique.

The Lecture Series is a service of the Integrative Health Service at Windham Hospital. Other offerings include therapeutic massage, Reiki, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, nutritional counseling, and the free Community Health Resource Room at Windham Hospital. Gift certificates for yoga, massage, Reiki, and acupuncture are available at the Hospital gift shop, and additional information is available on the Hospital website at www.windhamhospital.org.
