Free Integrative Health Lecture Series Continues at Windham Hospital
Each month, the Integrative Health Steering Committee at Windham Hospital hosts “For the Health of It,” a Wednesday evening lecture series. The next event, slated for July 28th, is entitled, “Cultivating Your Spirituality for Health” and will be presented by Mary C. Horan, MDiv, at 7 PM in the Windham Hospital Education Center.
The evening will focus on understanding the ways in which our physical health is affected by our spiritual health, and will explore the differences between spirituality and religious affiliations. Mary C. Horan has been a health practitioner for over 25 years and is a recent graduate of Andover Newton Theological School. Her interest in health and spirituality is inspired by the work she has done over the years with patients rehabilitating from traumatic injuries and living with chronic illness. Mary is the Director of Family Centered Care at Windham Hospital.
The Lecture Series is a service of the Integrative Health Service at Windham Hospital. Future topics will include: Integrative Medicine and Reducing Health Care Costs; Massage Cupping; and An Overview of Holistic Psychotherapy and Life Force Yoga for Mental Health. In addition to the Lecture Series, Integrative Health Services offers therapeutic massage, Reiki, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, nutritional counseling, at the Hospital and at the Hospital’s Center for Women’s Health at Mansfield.
