“Jeepin’ for the Cause” Scheduled for May 5
WILLIMANTIC, CT –“Jeepin’ for the Cause”, a recreational Jeep ride sponsored by Capitol Chrysler Dodge Jeep to benefit Windham Hospital, will be held on Sunday, May 5th, from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM. Capitol Jeep has sponsored seven previous Jeep ride events raising more than $43,000 for local charities.
“We offer three different trails, of varying terrain and difficulty, to maximize driver challenge and passenger enjoyment,” says Scott Lewis, Owner/President of Capitol Chrysler Dodge Jeep. “These rides are always a lot of fun. Our entire staff gets behind these events and we invite the community to join us on the trails, rain or shine.”
Event Coordinator Rudy Pizzoferrato, describes the three trails as an assortment of old roads, hills and gentle to steep rock climbing. The trails are in the Nipmuck and Pachaug Forests.
Space is limited and pre-registration is encouraged. Only pre-registration will guarantee a spot in the event. Registrations will be accepted on the morning of the event depending upon availability. Registration begins at 8:30 AM at Capitol Jeep at 1520 West Main Street, Willimantic, CT.
A presentation on four wheeling basics, safety, and environmental issues will be provided by the trail guides starting 9:00 AM. Group rides begin at 10:00 AM SHARP. The rides will return to Capitol Jeep around 1:30 PM.
