Women’s Health Forum celebrates International Women’s Day
WILLIMANTIC, CT, February 26, 2008 – Windham Hospital and the Mansfield Community Center will sponsor the 2nd annual Women’s Health Forum on Saturday, March 8, 2008 between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon. “This event coincides with International Women’s Day and we couldn’t be more pleased to be offering this program to the community in collaboration with the Mansfield Community Center,” noted event coordinator, Mona Friedland.
There will be a wide range of programs for registrants to participate in throughout the morning including lectures by women physicians on topics such as cardiology, naturopathic medicine, cosmetic surgery and women’s health issues. Practitioners from Windham Hospital’s Integrative Health program will be providing massage, Reiki, a meditation lecture, and Nikken Therapy. Other activities include bone density scans, exercise consultation and Danskinetics classes. During free time, participants can learn about healthy eating or visit a number of fine craft displays.
