| Position Description: | Bachelor's or Master's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, Allied Health, Chemistry, Biology, Immunology or appropriately related field and MT/MLS (ASCP) or BB (ASCP) or SBB (ASCP) required. Minimum 3 years full time blood bank expeirence with 1 year supervisory experience. The supervisor oversees the staff and assures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements. Has direct responsibility for the testing within the department. Works in conjunction with other departments to assure proper turnaround, quality reporting, education and billing. Participates in Hospital Committees. Implements and mantains procedures and policies. Assists with budgets and quality reports. Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Position requires a demonstrated excellence in leadership and communication skills, experience supervising in a clinical setting, and a desire to work as part of a supervisory team. |
