| Position Description: | BSN required, current CT state RN license is required, BLS required, ACLS preferred (required after 6 months of employment). 3 years RN experience with at least 12 months in practice area, or equivalent; charge nurse experience. Experience with union environment preferred. The Medical Surgical Clinical Coordinator reports to the Medical/Surgical Nurse Manager and is responsible for directing or implementing the plan of care through performance and/or leadership of department personnel. He/she will supervise personnel, assess, and maintain daily staffing needs, coordinate activities and services from other departments, writes and implements policies and procedures specific to that area. Ability to relate to staff, physicians, patients, and families with team oriented, collaborative approach; strong customer service orientation; demonstrates leadership, managerial skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and teaching ability. |
